The Heat Is On

I think this is a young Red Tailed Hawk. He’s watching the runners and cyclists on the bike path. I might be a bit too old and tough for his taste.

It will be 100 degrees here in Tucson for the rest of the week.

My morning rides into work have been in the mid 40’s and low 50’s. Yesterday it was 67 degrees at 7 a.m. I’ll need to go back to carrying two water bottles and ice them down before I leave in the afternoons. That’s when it’s topping out at 100. Bring it on, I say!

Gone are the arm and leg warmers, gloves, skull cap, and cold weather jacket--Already?

Cheers!

Bruce

It's all fun and games until the first heat advisory. Any bets on what day the first one lands on?

Alas, no. I am working at home today watching sick kids. I might duck out for a short final taper ride this afternoon though.
